Nino & Kimura Takuya Collab!!

As an Arashi fan and a fan of Kimura Takuya's movie & dramas, I'm soo excited for this news:

Kimura Takuya and Ninomiya Kazunari will be co-starring in a new movie titled “Kensatsugawa no Zainin” (Criminal for the Prosecution). This is the first time an Arashi and former SMAP member will be co-starring and is being tagged as a “Dream Collaboration” between these two top stars.

This suspense film is based on the 2013 novel of by Shizukui Shusuke and will be directed by Harada Masato (Japan’s Longest Day, Kakekomi, Sekigahara).

In the upcoming film, both Kimura and Ninomiya will play Tokyo public prosecutors. Kimura plays the lead as an elite public prosecutor Mogami Takeshi while Ninomiya plays novice prosecutor Okino Keiichiro who looks up to Mogami as a mentor. They both are assigned to a case with the suspect, Matsukura Shigeo, previously involved in a murder case of a middle school girl, which has already passed its statute of limitations. Mogami (Kimura) is bent on proving Matsukura’s guilt as his failure to put him to justice caused the death of his most beloved person. He is also aware of the heavy grief carried by the deceased girl’s family. As Okino (Ninomiya) doubts Mogami’s persistence in setting up the suspect as the culprit, tensions mount between the two as they stand off against each other.

“Kensatsugawa no Zainin” will be filmed from July to August and will be released 2018.

What do you think of this collab? Will we finally see Kimura on an Arashi show in the future? What more can we expect to happen?

Inoue Mao changes Agency!

So a bit delayed, but recently Inoue Mao has changed agencies, from Seventh Avenue to Un Neuf.
Details are below taken from

Inoue Mao joins the agency of Kishibe Ittoku after leaving her former agency

Inoue Mao has joined Un Neuf, the agency of Kishibe Ittoku, as reported on 9 December. She had left her previous agency Seventh Avenue when her contract with them ended on 31 August this year. Although she has never worked with Kishibe before, they are acquaintances and coincidentally share the same birthday i.e. 9 January.

Following her move, Inoue and Kishibe issued a handwritten joint statement to the media recently to announce the news.

I wonder what this could mean for Mao-chan??
And why this agency, with an actor she's never worked with, but coincidentally has worked with Jun recently on 99.9%...hmm??

I guess only time will tell. Anyways, Ganbatte Mao-chan!! :-)

Arashi & Dramas!!

Sooo I'm so excited for Ohno and Jun's dramas, both starting this week!!

And what makes it more exciting is that they're both challenging roles new to them. I love it that they're growing as an actor and aren't afraid of stepping out of their comfort zones.

I usually don't like watching a "currently-airing" drama, but of course for Arashi, I'm more than happy to make an exception XD

Ganbatte Jun & Riida!!

As a bonus, I'm also curious about the Spring Getsuku, since it's Fukuyama Masaharu ;)

Riida in a Rom-Com!!

The day has come when another Arashi member is starring in a full-on romantic comedy! Yatta!!
And surprisingly it's Riida, too XD

Here's the news:

It was reported that popular idol group Arashi member Ohno Satoshi would star in NTV's new drama "Sekaiichi Muzukashii Koi." This marks his first love comedy drama.

In the drama, Ohno will play a young CEO named "Samejima Reiji" who is the heir of a long-established Japanese-style inn and is now making inroads in the hotel industry. He is excellent at his job as he has a great talent for satisfying his customers, and he seems perfect at a glance. However, he never succeeds in love because of his arrogant personality. The drama depicts his struggles with his first love.

Apparently, the actress playing the protagonist's love interest will be revealed on the next episode on "Arashi ni Shiyagare" (to be aired on the 30th at 10:00pm).

I decided not to split my review to accomodate each part, but just to give my overall thought on the whole trilogy.
First of all, since this movie was based on the famous manga and anime (and I'm a fan of both), it is inevitable to compare them with either one. But I tried to do that while at the same time keeping in mind that this film should stand on its own. So looking at the overall film, this big screen adaptation is definitely worth watching. But first, I want to adress the pros and cons in regards to each factor of the film:

Review #2: "Shitsuren Chocolatier"

My Rating:
2.5 out of 5 stars

Out of everyone from Arashi, it's Jun-kun's dramas & movies that I look forward to the most. Maybe because he's my ichiban. Or maybe it's because out of the five, he's the one who takes on the most projects involving romance. So when I heard that he's starring in another romantic drama, I was so excited. Little did I know that I would be dissapointed.
Of course, throughout the drama, Jun-kun looked so handsome. But boy, his character was just so excruciating to watch. Actually most of the character's in the story were excruciating to watch. Sota who is blindly obsessed with Saeko-san, just wasn't believable. And then there's Saeko who is just a crazy, cruel vixen, who is so annoying that I didn't feel an ounce of sorry for her when her husband started abusing her (which I know is cold, but that's how annoying she was lol). Then there's Kaoruko-san, who was a character that I actually liked in the beginning, but she also ended up being annoying towards the end. And please dont get me started on Kato Shigeaki's character Sekiya who had no substance and no real significance whatsoever to the plot. The only thing that really got me watching until the end was the relationship between Sota and Elena. They really had chemistry, and I ended up rooting that they end up together in the end because Sota was best and was himself whenever he was with Elena. But...... I was gravely dissapointed :(
I understand that the title bears the inevitable, that Sota is a heartbroken chocolatier, but come on, he was already heartbroken throughout the whole drama, why not finally give it a happy ending? Or at least some promising ending that he will no longer be heartbroken.
Maybe they're still waiting for the ongoing manga to end, that's why they left it at that ending. If that's the case, then there better be a sequel or at least an SP in the future.

- The tasty looking chocolates.
- Mizobata Junpei as Olivier looking hot.
- The good chemistry between Matsumoto Jun and Mizuhara Kiko.

- Unnecessary Sekiya character.
- Annoying Saeko-san!
- Unfinished plot.

CONCLUSION: This drama left me heartbroken :(

RECOMMENDATION: I would recommend it only to those who are a fan of the actors acting in this drama. Otherwise, skip it.
